Pneumatic Actuators


General Description 

A proven range of pneumatic actuators offering the options of rack and pinion, scotch yoke and linear designs. Rack and pinion actuators provide the most economical on-off and modulating control for small to medium quarter-turn valves. The efficient scotch yoke design creates high break-out torques making them suitable for quarter-turn valves up to the largest sizes. All three configurations have been designed to provide maximum torque output with minimum supply pressure and are available in double-acting and spring return formats. Scotch yoke and linear designs are also available in quick-acting variants.

Pressure Protection Systems

The AIV Pressure Protection System (PPS) is designed to protect equipment downstream of a pressure reducing station in a gas distribution system. It consists of a trunnion mounted ball valve, complete with a Scotch Yoke actuator and a control system supplied as a self-contained and compact unit. Pressure Protection Systems are installed in the pipeline, upstream of pressure reducing stations. If there is an excessive rise of pressure downstream of the station, due to an equipment or operational malfunction, the Pressure Protection System will react by shutting off the supply of high pressure gas .
