AIV wedge gate valves are preferred as closure (shut-down) valves. Upon request it can be manufactured in bigger sizes and from various materials. Custom-made wedge gate valves are manufactured to meet the requirements for high-pressure water, sea-water and waste-water systems.

INTRODUCTION

This type is designed and produced for pipeline. It should be preferred for on-off services. Emergency shutdown, Line Break and Remote control types provide sound operation of the line. They are manufactured with a full bore section equals to pipeline cross section. Opening without decreasing the differential pressure is not recommended.

INTRODUCTION

Double Expanding Gate Valves are designed and tested in accordance to API-6D. This type of valve is adequate for earth and sea applications, for which fluids contain solids in suspension or abrasive particles. Also, it is advisable for transport and isolation of gas and petroleum.

The double block and bleed design provides an appropriate seal between the two seats and the gate, for high and low pressures of the line. Therefore, there is no need for the pressure in the line to achieve the valve’s seal.

Its operation principle is based in a two-part segmented disc that warranties the seal in both directions of the valve.
